Alias Chama calcarata

Ce Chama punctata vient de Fontenay en Vexin. Il a ses deux valves qui ne sont pas semblables (elles s' emboitent parfaitement). Une a des côtes perpendiculaires aux lignes de croissances; l' autre n' en a pas et a un aspect granuleux. Cela a du générer deux noms d' espèce différentes avant que l' on s' aperçoive que c' était les deux parties d' une même espèce!!!!! Taille: 43 x 35 mm.

This Chama punctata comes from Fontenay en Vexin. It has its two valves that are not the same (they fit together perfectly). One has ribs perpendicular to the lines of growth, and the other had not and seems grainy. That has must generate two names for different species before that one notices that it was the two parts of the same species!! Size: 43 x 35 mm.
